About the Maimonides PTA ועד ההורים
An all-embracing sense of community weaves together children and teachers, administrators and parents. In and out of the classroom, Maimonides values partnership in education. The Maimonides School Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) has been turning this philosophy into action ever since it was established in 1947.
The mission of our PTA has always remained steadfast and successful: To foster a partnership among parents, teachers, and administration, working hand in hand with the school to enrich our children’s lives.
PTA strives to realize this goal by sponsoring programs that address educational, social and religious issues. They promote communication among all divisions of Maimonides School, and works side-by-side with the school in its constant effort to improve itself.
Through its multi-faceted programming, communication and fundraising efforts, PTA is a dynamic, enjoyable and deeply gratifying volunteer experience. They welcome parent involvement in the school and embrace their support and assistance.
PTA would love to hear from you with ideas, comments, or questions. Feel free to contact one of our 2010-11 PTA co-presidents, Shari Lederman and Tami Wald (see school phone directory for contact information).
