PTA raises funds to sponsor programs and events that enrich our students
and enhance the quality of student life at Maimonides. Some are ongoing,
such as the ones listed below, while others occur at specific times
throughout the year. Be sure to read the
weekly Kol Rambam and check out the PTA calendar for these
fundraisers.
Rosh Chodesh Pizza | Supermarket

Book Clubs | OneCause (Earn by Shopping

Celebrate Rosh Chodesh while supporting the PTA! The PTA will
deliver pizza slices to your child(ren) nine times throughout the school
year for a nominal fee. Advance sign-up is required for this popular
Elementary School tradition. Download the
2009-2010 sign-up form, fill out and return to the Brener office
with your payment by Friday, October 9, 2009.
PTA is selling Star Market/Shaw’s and Stop & Shop
gift cards, which can be used like cash at the supermarkets. This is
a great fundraiser for the PTA as the supermarkets donate 4% of the
sales to the school. To order gift cards, please contact Frederique
Smits at famsmitsweil@hotmail.com,
or leave order
forms and checks in one of the PTA mailboxes in the school offices.
This is one of the PTA’s most popular fundraising tools.
Merchants contribute up to 5 percent of the value of your total purchase
to Maimonides PTA—all you have to do is get your receipt stamped
for Maimonides at the participating store. Please support the PTA by
taking part in this program, and ask your friends and extended family
members to participate as well! Stamped receipts can be deposited in
the PTA mailboxes located in the school offices on both campuses. See
participating merchants below.
Book Club Order Forms: Birthday
| Bar/Bat Mitzvah
| Graduation
Celebrate the milestones in our children's lives and strengthen Maimonides
book collections at the same time by purchasing library books. For Grades
K-6, you can donate a book to the library in honor of your child’s
birthday; for Grades
6-8, you can donate a book in honor of your child’s or a classmate’s
Bar/Bat Mitzvah;
and for Grade 12 you can donate a book in honor of your child’s
graduation or even
in honor of the whole graduation class. A beautiful bookplate with the
honoree’s name will be placed on the inside cover of the donated
book to commemorate the milestone. Contact Sara Ravid, Librarian and
Media Specialist, at sravid@maimonides.org
for more information or to donate a book. You can also view Maimonides
School's Amazon.com Wish List.
Buying online? Simply register one time at OneCause.com
(formerly Schoolpop.com;
if you previously registered with Schoolpop, your same login information
will work on OneCause). Then, each time before you visit your favorite
online store, go to OneCause.com
first—and Maimonides PTA will earn up to 18% of your total online
purchase. Hundreds of familiar merchants participate in this virtual
fundraising mall for education, such as Lands’ End, Office Depot,
Gap, and Timberland. You can even install the OneCause
Toolbar in your browser to help make sure every eligible purchase
counts, which could result in up to five times the contributions!
Save Your Box Tops and your Betty Crocker Points from General
Mills products and send them into the PTA mailboxes located in the Saval
or Brener Administrative Offices. PTA will earn 10 cents for every Box
Top and Betty Crocker Points coupon redeemed. Your efforts really add
up—PTA typically earns up to $500 a year from these coupons alone!
Please ask friends and extended family members for their coupons also.
Note that it is important to send in the entire coupon—please
no trimming.
Help PTA earn free computer equipment for the school by bringing
in items which would otherwise be thrown away. Simply gather your empty
printer cartridges and used cell phones, and drop them in one of the
three recycling receptacles at the school—FundingFactory
will reimburse Maimonides for them. Receptacles are located in the Saval
Administrative Office, in the Saval Elementary School wing by the Administrative
Desk, and in the Brener Building in the downstairs lobby by the PTA
case. Please don’t forget to gather up those used toner cartridges
from your place of work and bring them in.
